Cey Adams Retrospective

FROM GRAFFITI TO GLOBAL GALLERIES, CEY ADAMS CELEBRATES FORTY YEARS OF ART AND DESIGN IN RETROSPECTIVE EXHIBITION BY BOSTON UNIVERSITY ART GALLERIES

The exhibition examines visionary artist, cultural pioneer, and innovative designer Cey Adams’ four+ decades of work creating the visual identities of some of Hip-Hop’s foundational acts, commercial collaborations with global brands, and his extensive contemporary fine art practice.

Featuring more than 60 pieces that encompass his work through photography archives, mixed media collage, paintings, textile, fashion, street art, contemporary fine art and more, the exhibition is a visual timeline of the artistic evolution of Adams and his body of work.

The museum’s curator leveraged Matterport technology to capture the space on her own, but was lost when facing the task of creating a meaningful immersive virtual tour. Exhibition curator, STREET THEORY’s Liza Quinonez, collaborated with MASK’s to produce this enhanced version featuring:
  • Guided Quick Tour
  • Mixtape exhibition soundtrack by
  • Media enhanced features on key album covers(4)
